Craig M. Porter Rollins, RFC®, Corporate office

Craig is the Chief Executive Officer at LJCooper Wealth Advisors and published author. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Real Estate Investment Securities Association (REISA), the Advisory Board of The Center for the Advancement of Leadership at Utah Valley University. Craig also serves on the Board of Advisors for Thanksgiving Point Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

 

 

 

Kenneth G. Bown, MBA, CFP®, Corporate office

Ken is the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and Investment Analyst, specializing in retirement planning and investment asset allocation. In addition to his wealth management duties, Ken also provides our advisors with important guidance on portfolio construction.

Ken received a B.A. in Management Information Systems from Utah State University and his MBA in Finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Ken is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional.

 

Timothy K. Whipple, CFP®, Enrolled Agent, Corporate office

Tim is a Founding Partner of the firm and the Managing Director of Advanced Planning. He is a specialist in portfolio tax efficiency, including wealth transfer, estate and current income tax reduction. His expertise in tax-related issues has led Tim to his passion in assisting LJCooper clients in establishing and managing Philanthropic Foundations.

Tim received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. Tim is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and an Enrolled Agent licensed to practice before the IRS.

He currently serves on the boards of International Aid Serving Kids (IASK) and the Cougar Rugby Foundation.

 

Adam N. Taylor, CFP®, AAMS, Corporate office

Adam is a Founding Partner of the firm and has been an investment services professional for 12 years. He is an Investment Advisor Representative of LJCooper Wealth Advisors, LLC. He has been involved in educating and counseling hundreds of seminar attendees on topics ranging from “modern portfolio theory” to “reducing the taxation of Social Security benefits.” Adam is an expert in the field of Asset Allocation and Index Fund Investing.

Adam is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS).

 

Robert Strasburg, CFP®, CEA, Grand Junction, CO office

Rob is an Investment Advisor Representative with LJCooper Wealth Advisors, LLC. He has been a financial services professional for 12 years. He has educated hundreds of seminar attendees at workshops across Utah and Colorado. Rob is dedicated to building long-term relationships with his clients and providing them with objective investment advice. He specializes in retirement and estate planning with a focus on utilizing proper asset allocation.

Rob is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and a Certified Estate Advisor (CEA). Rob and his wife Ali have 2 sons and live in Genola, Utah.

Jim Spainhower, CEA, Grand Junction, CO office

Jim is an Investment Advisor Representative with LJCooper Wealth Advisors, LLC. He believes that education and knowledge are the keys to making good financial decisions. Jim uses the education process to pass his knowledge on to hundreds of clients and students, while teaching in the college-continuing education, corporate and individual settings. He believes that proper asset allocation is crucial, and is committed to providing portfolios, asset and income plans that fit the needs and risk tolerance of his clients.

He is an 8-year professional in the financial services industry with over 20 years of business management experience. Jim has experience in agency management and in structuring lifetime income and asset plans for both retirees and impaired individuals.

Jim is a Certified Estate Advisor (CEA) and member of the Real Estate Investment Securities Association (REISA).

 

William (Bill) D. Bass, CPA, CFP™, Panama City, FL branch office

Bill is the office manager at our Panama City, Florida branch office as well as a founding partner of W.D. Bass & Company, Certified Public Accountants.  He specializes in individual and business tax planning strategies and business, financial and estate planning. He is considered a valuation expert having served as an expert witness for various circuit and appellate court districts throughout the State of Florida. Bill has served in a variety of financial administration capacities in his local Rotary Club, First United Methodist Church and St. Andrew Baptist Church. He is actively involved in the Bay County Florida community.  Bill received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.  He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Florida and a Certified Financial Planner™ professional.  He has also received the Certified Valuation Analyst designation.

 

Jason L. McMullin, CEA, Corporate office

Jason has 7 years of experience in the financial services industry and is an Investment Advisor representative with LJCooper Wealth Advisors, LLC. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Utah State University, he immediately went to work in the financial services industry. He currently oversees LJCooper Wealth Advisors’ Income Tax and Tax Filing program. With a strong investment background, Jason helps his clients build well diversified portfolios through traditional and alternative investment programs.

Jason is a Certified Estate Adviser (CEA), and is currently enrolled in the Certified Financial Planner Program at Boston University.

 Danny Bentley, Chief Marketing Officer

Before coming to LJCooper as the Chief Marketing Officer, Danny was the Key Center Manager for KeyCorp, specializing in community and business development, a position he held for seven years. Danny is the head of LJCooper's business development and marketing division. He has been in the financing industry since 1998. Danny continues to be dedicated in building long-term relationships in the business community and brings a greatly expanded array of financial services through LJCooper. Danny is a sports enthusiast and loves the outdoors -- skiing, camping, hiking and playing baseball with his boys.

 

Cindy Nelson, Client Services Manager, Corporate office

Cindy specializes in providing prompt service to all client's needs. She focuses on building long-term relationships with our clients based on trust, open communication, and integrity. Cindy has previously worked in the mortgage and insurance industries for over 25 years and brings a vast amount of customer service experience to her position. When not at the office she spends time with her Bassett Hound, "Pepper."

 

 

Crystal Monk, Client Services Manager, Panama City, FL Branch office

Crystal is the Client Services Manager at our Panama City, Florida location and has been employed by W.D. Bass & Company as Office Administrator for 5 years.

In addition to her administrative experience, Crystal brings several years of a paralegal background to her current position with LJCooper Wealth Advisors. Crystal attended Gulf Coast Community College majoring in accounting, and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

She enjoys serving as a volunteer at the local Pregnancy Center, is a member of the First Baptist Church, and is currently pursuing studies to be a graduate gemologist.

 

Shelly Pilcher, Client Services Manager, Corporate office

Shelly assists our advisors and oversees the maintenance of our client data base and trade reporting. Her 15 years of industry experience has proven invaluable in her task of overseeing the quarterly statement compilation for our advisory clients.

 

 

 

 

Rosemary Jarman, Administrative Assistant, Corporate office

Rosemary serves as an administrative assistant for our advisors. Her many years of experience come from helping organizations maintain an efficient working environment which allows their primary focus to be on serving the customer. Rosemary derives her customer service and teamwork skills from  her Dale Carnegie Training and from the Disney Institute. Whenever she gets the chance, Rosemary likes to take her family indoor skydiving.

 

 

 

Paige Sauer, All Things Artsy, Corporate office

Paige is our Art Director. She received her bachelor's in Advertising from BYU-Idaho. It bothers her when she can’t identify a font and she spends her free time doing freelance work, reading design articles and learning from others.
